London: Laura Robson gave home fans plenty to cheer about when she became the first British player in almost a quarter of a century to win the girls' junior title at Wimbledon on Saturday.
The 14-year-old lit up a packed Court One with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Thai third seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn to match Annabel Croft's achievement of 24 years ago.

"It was so good today as all the crowd were behind me and it was an overwhelming experience," the Australian-born Londoner said moments after coming off court.
"I didn't feel relaxed and I thought I was going to be sick when I walked on court as there were so many people watching.
"In the second set, I went a bit mad but I got it back together and that is how I won."
Special: Wimbledon 2008
Robson was born in Australia but now lives five minutes' walk from the All England Club and after her win on Saturday, she could land a wildcard into next year's main women's draw.
Previous Wimbledon junior winners have included Martina Hingis and Amelie Mauresmo, while Kim Clijsters, Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic are among recent beaten finalists.
