fiery bowling spell Friday as India went to lunch on 104-3 on the

Opening batsman Gautam Gambhir scored an unbeaten 57 after a strong
start for India but the late blows from Prasad left the match evenly
poised after the first session.
Prasad, brought into the side to replace the omitted Nuwan
Kulasekara, snared the prized wickets of Virender Sehwag (21), Rahul
Dravid (10) and Sachin Tendulkar (6) to finish with 3-49 from 10 overs.
India captain Anil Kumble won the toss and decided to bat, and
in-form opening pair Gambhir and Sehwag shared 51 runs for the first
wicket.
Sehwag, who scored an unbeaten 201 and 50 in the second Test to help
India square the series, failed to extend that form and became Prasad's
first Test victim, caught behind by wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene.
Sehwag survived twice earlier, as Malinda Warnapura dropped a catch
and Tillakaratne Dilshan missed a run-out attempt.
Dravid continued his poor run with the bat before being trapped lbw
by Prasad.
English umpire Mark Benson ruled him not out but television umpire
Billy Doctrove overturned that decision after captain Mahela
Jayawardene challenged it under a new law being trailed in this series.
Tendulkar was also ruled out lbw to give Prasad his third wicket.
