As 14 wickets fell on the opening day of the second Test between India and South Africa here Thursday, all guns were pointed towards curator Dheeraj Prasana. But the former Test player is undeterred and insists that he has prepared a good sporting track for the match.

In the morning India had no answers to the fiery South African pace bowling and crumbled to a devastating 76 in 20 overs in their first innings at the Sardar Patel Stadium at Motera here.
However, later in the day, the visitors proved that there were no demons in the pitch as they ended the day on 233 for four, leading India by 147 runs in the first innings.
In the post-day press conference, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh clearly directed his guns towards the pitch and said that Indian curators should prepare pitches keeping in mind the home team's strength, which is spin.
Asked about Harbhajan's comments, Prasana said: "Their (cricketers) job is to play and not advice me. I know my job and I have done that."

"I am familiar with the conditions here and I know what would have happened had I removed the grass," he said.
The wicket at Motera has been a topic of heated discussion since the start of the match and skipper Anil Kumble minced no words in making his displeasure known on the eve of the match.
"Nothing has been said about it (pitch). There are too many questions and no answers," was an upset Kumble's statement about the pitch Wednesday.
