Bangladesh defeated Hong Kong by 116 runs in the opening match of the six-nation Asia Cup limited-overs tournament in Colombo. A defiant half-century by opener Javed Omar was backed up by some tight bowling by Bangladesh. Omar top scored for Bangladesh with a patient 68 runs off 94 balls.
