Bangalore: BCCI president Sharad Pawar today announced a cash reward of Rs 10 crore for the Indian cricket team that won the ODI tri-series in Australia for the first
time.
He also announced a prize money of Rs one crore to the selection committee of the Under-19 winning squad, as well as the selection committee of the senior Indian team, at a function organised to felicitate the world champion junior team here.

Pawar said Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur had promised 31 acres of land near Bangalore to the BCCI for setting up a cricket training academy.
On the senior team's victory, he said they had defeated the world champions on their home turf. "It is a victory indeed," he said, adding the Indian players had proved their talent and displayed exemplary sportsmanship.
