Research
The Internet is a very new business! All told, it has been around for just about 10 years now and it is only now that documented studies on consumer behaviour on the Internet are available, thus making it a business full of learnings with every passing day. So, just how does Sify go about doing its research?
Broadly speaking, Sify studies the consumer's behaviour on the Internet and compares it to International data and puts down these findings that form the basis of our opportunities we create for our clients.

Prospecting
Once, done with the research, Sify goes about prospecting its clients with a very focused approach. Our strategy team carefully studies the clients across cities, their brands and what they would expect from the Internet as a medium. Post this exercise, we look at the client's communication across other media like the Press, Television and the Radio. Sample Tracking Reports will be made available on request.
Once this process is completed, the team works on a 'demo' to show the client and how his brand ideology, his communication and the Internet as an advertising medium have been married together to form an effective communication solution.
A comprehensive strategy is put together along with the 'demos' to show the potential client and try and win his business based on sheer understanding of his brand and what would work best in an Internet environment.
Net or Not ?
Online advertising will not replace offline advertising, at least not now. Well, to be realistic about it, Sify believes that the Internet serves as an ideal support for offline communication and is especially useful in executing brand recall campaigns, contests and promotions for involvement with brands and general brand awareness.
In early 2002, Sify initiated a study that showed that Internet customers were more inclined to try out new products and services than others and this has formed the basis for some of the campaigns that we have designed for our clients. The strategy has worked and more and more clients are interested in partnering with Sify to target either Indians in India or NRIs.
Reporting
While Sify tells you how to spend your money, Sify also tells you how it was used and how the brand benefited. Every campaign that goes live on Sify has a Post Campaign Analysis put together that lists down the objectives of the campaign followed by what the deliverables were and how Sify went about achieving these objectives.
