Legend of Mahaveera
According to Swetambar sect of Jains, in 599 B.C. on Chaitra Shukla Trayodsahi i.e. the thirteenth day of the bright half of Chaitra (March-April), a child was born to King Siddhartha and queen Priyakarani or popularly known as Trishala Devi.
