Noted actresses Bhagyashree, Ayesha Jhulka, Varsha Usgaonkar and Anupama Verma come together in Kabhie Kabhie being telecast on Zee TV. The series features three episodic stories every week and the stories are women-oriented, relationship-based, traditional as well as contemporary. The stories are positive and have a strong curiosity element in every episode.
Positive Pictures and Goldmine Media Ltd produce Kabhie Kabhie. Positive Pictures is a TV Software company floated by Sanjay Chandna and Saurabh Sengupta, who were previously associated with the advertising industry and later ventured into TV serial production. Their company over the years has produced highly acclaimed serials on Zee TV like Chahat Aur Nafrat, 9 Malabar Hill, Mrityudand, Kahmoshiyan Kab Tak, Episodes of Rishtey (short stories), Episodes of Aap Jo Bolein To Haan.
Meanwhile, Goldmine has been content providers to various TV channels and their principal aim of the company is to provide quality product for TV channels. Their serials are on air at present on the channels like Hansa Chakatfu on Alpha Marathi, Hi Chawl Kuru Kuru on ETV Marathi, Vishwas on Zee TV and Ka Kaa Ki Ku on ETV Marathi. Goldmine’s forthcoming projects are Saptapadi which will be on ETV Marathi and Pratima on Sahara Manoranjan.
Kabhie Kabhie will be telecast on Zee TV every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm. The stories already ready for telecast include Bharosa, which has Bhagyashree, Rajesh Tandon and Rajesh Khera in the lead roles. It explores the subtle nuances of a man-woman relationship in a marriage. Another story, Vansh, revolves around a zamindari family set in Bengal during pre-independence era and has Ayesha Jhulka, Rajith Kapoor and Rohit Roy in the lead roles.
Amar Prem tells the story of a psychiatrist and his wife who are faced with a dilemma when a woman approaches the husband and claims to be his wife from previous birth. This story has Varsha Usgaonkar, Rajat Kapoor and Seema Shetty in the main roles.
Haque-Khashish is a story set against the backdrop of a Muslim family where the husband Feroze divorces his loving wife Kashish for the sake of his ex-beau. He later realizes his folly and tries to get back to Kashish, however the re-union is a complicated process. The cast includes Divya Dutta, Anoop Soni and Suraj Thappar.
Meanwhile Naam is about a university professor assigned the job of accompanying a student for his project report to a remote tribal village. The professor has had sweet memories of that village which he had visited while he himself was a student dedicated to tribal welfare and development. The cast includes Sanober Kabir, Shahrukh Barucha, Sonia Kapoor and Sadia Siddiqui.
Directed by Saurabh Sengupta, Kabhie Kabhie has banked upon stories by writers like Manisha Gir, Smita Agarwal, Saurabh Sengupta, Mohit Hussain, Maj. Gen. S. Sengupta and Nitin Tej Ahuja. Music is by Saurabh Sengupta and Santosh Shrivastav.
