| London: `Material Girl` Madonna has revealed that
her unrealistic expectations regarding marriage, almost led to
its breakdown during the early days of her married life with
British director, Guy Richie.
In an MTV documentary, Madonna frankly revealed that she entered
into marriage for all the wrong reasons, and was lucky to realize
her folly before it was too late to take corrective action.
"I got married for all the wrong reasons," News of the World
quoted her, as saying in a two-hour special called I'm Going to
Tell You A Secret.
"My husband did not turn out to be everything I had imagined him
to be. I just wanted to end everything.", she said.
But she said that after a while she realized that "there's no
such thing as the perfect soulmate.", and thanked God for seeing
her through that phase.
"Your soul-mate is the person that pushes all your buttons-p****s
you off on a regular basis.
"It's not easy having a good marriage but I don't want easy. I
thank God every day that I married a man who made me think.
That's my definition of true love.", she said. |
