The mouthpiece of the station

“Radio is not an appointment medium. You can be a part of it very easily,” says RJ Krithika, one of the youngest RJs in the state.

A first-rank holder in Electronic Media from MOP Vaishnav College, she is the voice behind the popular song Etho Nadakkuthu in the recently released film Paarijatham.

“An RJ is the mouthpiece of the station. Every word that we put on air is very important and every show is our last match,” says Krithika, who started her career as a copy editor with Sifymax.

She describes herself as a romantic dreamer, who has miles to go before she sleeps.

Ask her why she feels her show will have Chennaiites buzzing?

She replies with a smile, “We are for Chennai, to Chennai and we have Chennai culture in us. The different RJs we have can give our programmes a Chennai flavour. So it’s not the name of the show, instead the nature of the show which is going to rock my audience.”
