Speed Dheena began his innings as a radio jockey for Suryan FM. Hailed as one of the most popular RJs by Tamil radio listeners, he is known for his ability to find humour in almost any situation.

You can make listeners think over a particular topic—be it a problem in society, a civic issue or an error in one’s behaviour. Humour is one of the best means to make radical changes in a system or one’s own life.”
Speed Dheena, as he is known among his friends, can jump from one topic to another with lightning speed. “The role of an RJ is very important in society. We use jokes and sarcastic comments to convey good thoughts to the audience. The public image of radio has changed,” he says. |
