Manipur on fire

After the death of Manorama Devi, Manipur has been observing a civil disobedience movement and activists have begun boycotting Indian goods. Manipur has been rarely thrown into the national spotlight, but the state has been on the boil for years over the Centre's decision to extend a ceasefire with the Naga rebel group of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland to other parts of the North-East and the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
