Really?
Is the world the same even after some important and loved ones are gone? Ask those who drew from Sam Bahadur, an eternal inspiration, or those who saw Harkishan Singh Surjeet from close.
Or ask the residents of Mumbai, to save whose lives and city Hemant Karkare laid down his life.
For the die-hard fans of Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan, who will not be will not be able to listen to him live and experience his ‘fingering techniques’, or the avid readers of Michael Crichton who can’t expect another novel from him, the world is not going to be same.
And not to mention those who saw in Baba Amte and Nirmala Deshpande, a spirit to dedicate their lives for a social cause. The life is not going to be the same ever.
With such luminaries going away from us, 2008 will be remembered as the year, they left us.
