Deoband: Vande Mataram has been termed 'unIslamic' by a resolution passed at the Deoband National Convention meet of the Jamiat-e-Ulema Hind (JEU) on Tuesday
.The resolution said that Muslims should not sing the song as some portions of its are anti-Islam.
Twenty-five other resolutions were also reportedly passed which included one denouncing terrorism.

`We love the nation, but cannot worship it,` Kamal Farooqui, a JEU member, said. The JEU is of the view that only God is fit to be worshipped.
Home Minister P Chidambaram is scheduled to address the meet on Tuesday.
