Suspended Orissa cop Mohanty gets bail

Jaipur: Suspended Orissa DGP BB Mohanty who had surrendered in a lower court in the parole jumping case of his son Bitti Mohanty, a rape convict, was granted bail on Friday.

He was remanded to 14 days judicial custody by the ACJM court of Rajendra Bansal yesterday after the court rejected his bail petition.

on Friday, a bail application was filed in the court of Additional district court of Chandrika Prasad and he was granted bail on two sureties worth Rs 1 lakh each and another surety of Rs 2 lakh.
