Terror attacks in NDA regime
Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday slammed the BJP for its sloganeering on tackling terrorism and said only the Congress can provide a stable and strong government, which is also honest.
Addressing a rally in Varanasi, Sonia Gandhi said people raising slogans against terrorism should introspect what happened during their own regime. She recalled that there were many terrorist attacks across the country during the NDA regime, but those responsible for attack on the Parliament House were escorted to Kandhar as if they were royal guests.
"After the terrorist attack on Mumbai, we put so much pressure that Pakistan had to admit the truth", Sonia said, re-affirming her conviction that the UPA government would never tolerate anything against India.
She told the people that on one hand they have the Congress whose only mission is fast development of the country and on the other hand are the elements that want to get power through the route of communalism.
