Sugar price policy which is adopted by the UPA benefit is not only constant for mill -owners. It should have to be reaches for even sugarcane growers. Now -a-adays power problem also takes place in the country. This is very difficult to manage by the farmers. Such things has to be monitored by the concerned officials and political leaders. It could be gives financial releaf for Sugarcane grower of the farmers.

Sugarcane is a lazy crop but yields much more profit than rice or wheat. It does not require investment as the mill owners take care of everything. So most of the farmers even in Deccan plateau & dry arid regions switched over to this crop and forgotten the traditional crops. The bitter facts are it is suitable only in selected areas like West Bengal & some delta regions & Indogangetic plain using surface water. It should not be raised using ground water resources as it consumes 3 times more water than the other crops and the percolation losses in many places other than alluvial soil is ten times more depleting ground water beyond the recharging capacity of the soil. So cultivation of sugar should be curtailed in our country. We can import quality sugar at 50% lesser cost close down 60% of sugar mills for whose benefits only the policy stands ignoring the farmers

Nobody in politica ia concerned about price rises affecting limited pockets..Some rich farmers are earning huge value of their land and even using helicopters in celebrating marriages while landless workers are not even geting compensating rise in their wages..It appears some foreign control is ruling India in disguised manner.

The NDA charges are true. The mill owners are provinding tremendous amount of funds to Congress party. This is historical fact. After emergency when Indira Gandhi lost, the sugar in the market drop Rs.8.00 .....from Rs. 10.20/ Killo to Rs. 2.10 per Killo. As soon as Charan Singh and his hanuman Raj Narayan were paid to screw up Morarji Desai government, Indira Gandhi supported Charan and finally pull the plug. The elections brought back Indira Gongress back in power and the Sugar went back to Rs. 11.00 / Killo. You need not be Rocket scientist to figure out what is playing roll now and how it is played.

Most of sugar consumers donot have farms or such jobs which enable them to afford the high prices of sugar.Rome of prices is burning high and elite are enjoying the music of price rise.

There is no right or wrong. It is either vote bank policy or money make policy. Till the last cader of the ruling party extracts benifits for self and the administration is too willing to oblige as it also gets a share. yesterday in the TV showed the pathetic condition of the security personnel at Gate way Of India, Mumbai at the 26/11 site, providing security and it shows our concern for state and nation. No nation can conquer India but it will disintegrate on its own and the days are not too farif vested interest is the moto of being in position and power. The nation that does not respect agriculturist and security force what more one can ecpect from the people.
