New Delhi: Maharashtra has garnered the maximum berths, three, in the Manmohan Singh cabinet that took oath here Friday.
The three ministers from Maharashtra are Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Congress leaders Sushil Kumar Shinde and Murli Deora.
19 cabinet ministers in Manmohan Singh's A-team
Karnataka, West Bengal and Kerala got two berths each in the 20-member cabinet.
Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh have one representative each in the central cabinet.
