Tattoos are no longer identified with prisoners, sailors, rock musicians and WWF wrestlers. They are a symbol of Gen Y; they are a statement, even a fashion statement, and they are also art. Tattoo designs and photographs are, in fact, exhibited in mainstream art galleries.
Getting a tattoo is quite simple and not too painful. However, one must consider that a tattoo is for life. (Only the costly and repetitive process of laser therapy can remove a permanent tattoo.) So don’t get one on a whim or because of peer pressure. Think carefully before you decide on the type and design you want. Here are a few tips on the basic precautions you need to keep in mind.
