Don't take the day of retirement as 'D-Day'. It should be a day that is a very special threshold in life. Anil Gupta, ex-executive for Bata India
Ltd, now a retiree for 20 years, recollects, "I was well prepared for
retirement day, relieved and satisfied having played my inning well."
Jharna Chakraborty, ex-officer of Oriental Insurance Company, now retired for five years says, "On the day of retirement I felt sad because I was bidding adieu to my well-known office, but felt happy thinking of a truly liberated life ahead, which would allow me to spend quality time with my family."
