Coping with retirement
Retirement is often depressing. Someone else now sits in the chair that
you once held dear. Your visiting cards lie cluttered in some obscure
drawer. You may feel a loss of identity, struggle with financial security,
and fear senility. The prospect of decades without work may push you into
a void filled with mind-numbing boredom. However, retirement can be a very
positive experience if you view it not as a retirement from life, but
rather as being ushered into a superannuated life. |
