The media did a fairly good job and look what happened when it stopped giving attention to the issues. People are behaving carelessly again and the flu infection rate is on the rise. The media's wide coverage initally helped in spreading awareness and controlling the spread of the flu.

There are other major causes of death among the Indian population which is left unnoticed. How many lives could have been saved each day if only our roads and other infrastructure is improved. Why become hysteric after a virus while there are many other killers like Dengue, Chickungunya, Malaria etc.

This is General Rumsfield and others' massive scam to dupe the world. I wonder how this team does it so well across so many media channels internationally. I am sure an independent autopsy of many such attributed deaths would show something else was the cause.
Tamiflu was ineffective against Bird Flu and this S-flu too is a bugabear.

Yes. The media did overplay the entire Swine flu thing resulting in people flooding the hospatials and overburdening the already overloaded Health care system

Citizens of India are much peaceful and continuing their regular lifestyle is because of the awareness brought by the media. I wonder how much our Govt. had involved in this! Thanks to media that brings things to light, though a few informations are hyped but is a better job than the Govt.
