The new vehicles included 18 all terrain vehicles and six rapid intervention vehicles.

"It can go into all marshy land or it can go into areas where still water is there. It can be used against terrorist attacks or it can be used for rescuing people who are marooned and other things. It can float or it can move in the land and it can be used in all terrain. All terrain means tar road or marshy land or rocky land or anything," said D. Sivanandan, Commissioner of Mumbai Police.

"It can go up in the hill to a certain extent. It has got 38 horse power and it can go up to 30-40 kilometres in a normal situation and can go in the marshy land and we can really used it for multi-purpose," he added.

Meanwhile, gearing up for the first anniversary of terror attack, a police march rehearsal was held from Trident Hotel to Marine Drive.

The parade will be held on Thursday to remember the victims and heroes of the attacks. (ANI)

mumbai police need less corruption, a system that will make sure they can prevent attacks, trained officers who can use actual weapons, Mumbai attack was had terrible consequences because Mumbai police failed to respond which shows bad leadership in that department or we can say corrupt leadership in that department. these vehicles are useless. what mumbai police need is some balls to fight unfortunately they don't have one as we saw them running away on the tv.
