Apsara awards for 2008, 2009 to be held in December

2009-11-30 19:40:00

The fourth and fifth editions of the Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards, which honour excellence in cinema and television, are scheduled to be held here in December.

While the fourth edition, which was postponed last year as a mark of respect to the victims of the 26/11 tragedy, will be held Friday the awards for 2009 will be distributed by the Producers' Gulid of India Dec 20.

'The awards look to honour achievers within the fraternity and it is an initiative from the fraternity itself. With this synergy between the Producers' Guild and Wizcraft, we are confident that very soon it will become the most credible amongst awards,' said Manmohan Shetty, president of the Guild.

The winners have been chosen by the Guild Jury, including Ravi Chopra, Ketan Desai, and Vashu Bhagnani.

Wizcraft Entertainment is promoting the event.
