| This time it is an action movie from Sreehari, directed by N. Shankar of Jayam Manadera fame. Even though the film is fast paced, it falls flat in the second half. The music of Vandematharam saves the film to a very large extent. The story like in all earlier Shankar films is of a village simpleton who comes to the city and makes it really big here Bhadrachalam (Sreehari) a villager with muscles and brawn comes to Hyderabad and joins a martial Arts School and learns Taekwondo. His coach is Parasuraman (Vijay Chandran) whose daughter Mahalakshmi (Sindhu) naturally falls in love with our hero. As a simpleton Bhadrachalam is coned by Kota and Mallakharjuna Rao,who use him as a muscle man to collect protection money. Meanwhile Mahalakshmi plans to sell her property to fund her father’s heart surgery bill. At the same time, Bhadrachalam clashes with the local goon Vijay who stabs him. Parasuram uses the money meant for his heart surgery to save Bhadrachalam. Later the martial arts instructor teaches Bhadrachalam”Taekwondo’ and believe it or not he becomes the world champion! Well, what can you say about such unbelievable yarns? Sreehari is stiff throughout the film and Sindhu looks too pale and unglamorous. Vijay Chandran as Parasuraman is good. On the whole the film disappoints. Verdict : Avoidable |
