| By Moviebiz EVV Satyanarayana the king of comedy dishes out another laugh riot with Thank You Subba Rao. It is a typical EVV film though he has borrowed the theme from the Hollywood comedy of the eighties Stakeout. Priyadarshan, the Malayalam copycat director has years back copied the same which came out as Vandanam. But EVV and his hero Srihari have done a decent comedy which makes you laugh. The story is about Subba Rao (Srihari) who runs a detective agency. GK (Prakash Raj) a millionaire entrusts him with the assignment of snooping on Dr. Susheela (Abirami), who he claims is his fiancée. But Subba Rao slowly starts taking a liking for Dr. Susheela. He reports back to GK, that he should not marry Dr. Susheela as she is not a good person. Actually Subba Rao feels GK should be taught a lesson for suspecting his lovely innocent fiancée. But unknown to Subba Rao GK and Dr.Susheela are a married couple, who spilt because GK never wanted her to work. So it is up to our man Subba Rao to bring together the estranged couple. The film is a light-hearted comedy, which really does not have any story line. Sri Hari has done a good job as the comic hero. Prakash Raj proves he has a comic angle, while new girl Abhirami has made a decent debut in Telugu films. Thank god the film does not have any songs. Verdict: A Good Laugh |
