| Debutant director Kishore Kumar should be appreciated without any pretensions for coming up with a logical and sensible climax instead of opting for a fairy tale end in this movie. Kumar clearly differentiates between love and friendship, unlike other films where a boy is justified to propose to his girl friend leaving no room for platonic friendship reflecting the poor state of mind of filmmakers including seasoned and new entrants. Both Saikiran who construes his friendship for love and later realising his intensions and new face Rinku Ghosh have to improve a lot while Prithvi fits the bill. Saikiran is a happy-go-lucky guy who is poor in studies but still smart. He befriends his class mate (Rinku Ghosh) and falls in love with her since she moves closely with him. To impress her, he often visits her house and comes closer to her mother while her father hates him. When she shows some concern he assumes that she is in love with him and even discloses it to her sister. Unfortunately before he proposes to her she introduces her would-be played by Prithvi. Disturbed Saikiran behaves badly with her, unable to digest another man with her and finally she comes to know of it and for a moment to retain his friendship she even agrees to marry him. At the end Saikiran overhears her conversation with Prithivi and walks out gracefully after uniting them. Music director Sasi Preetam’s title song is melodious. Director Kishore Kumar should have curtailed his cinematographer Vasu since his lighting is very bad at many places. On the whole a very average movie which at times is boring. Verdict: Bore |
