The film projects the story of an honest cop, who punishes a criminal related to a politician’s family for acid attack on a girl, who suffers disfiguration, besides losing job. He further takes on corrupt bureaucrats and politicians with a unique Chepala Cheruvu drama, the suspense of which forms the crux of the entertainment.

Raja (Posani Krishna Murali), an upright cop, feels himself as the servant of people. He never cares for the background of any criminal but punishes him severely. His attitude and behavior gets the brand ‘mental’ in his department.

Local MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao’s son pours acid on a girl’s face. Then Raja punishes culprit and also replaces the girl’s burnt eyes with that of criminal. Then the revenge starts from the side of politicians on Raja.

As a consequence, Raja loses his job and also faces several problems. Raja takes all this into his stride and he applies for a fishing pond for business. But he keeps entire corrupt government officials and politicians in trouble with a ‘chepala cheruvu’ drama. What is story of ‘chepala cheruvu’? It has to be watched on the silver screen.

Posani has come up with a social arousing message and the narration and presentation of the film was good. His dialogues are logical unlike his previous films. The girl Gaina, who did the role Posani’s wife, is attractive and sexy. She has exposed a lot and acted intrepidly in a nude scene.

Zubain Khan (sister of Mumaith Khan) acted in a vamp role and she also revealed her glamour. An item song along with full length performance is entreating for the audience. Giribabu played the role of a politician that is similar to that of Chiranjeevi in real life. Kota Srinivasa Rao played the role of MLA and he acted as usual.

The other cast Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan, Brahmaji, Kondavalasa, Venu Madhav, Sunil and Sana acted well. Sunil played the news anchor with a hilarious touch.

Music scored by Vandemataram Srinivas is not disappointing. There are three songs in the film. The background score is impressive. The dialogues are filthy at times. The script was written well and the screenplay was suitable. The cinematography of Gadiraju Srinivas was unsteady. Editing could have been better.

There is good tempo in the first half, followed by lengthy second half with sporadic doses of boredom.

Verdict: Mass Masala
