| Shyamala Rao alias Shyam (Rahul) is an orphan who is a tenant with Maruthi Rao (Gollapudi) at Brindavan Colony. He is a painter by profession and works with a leading Paint company. Swapna (Sonal Chauhan) is a ravishing girl who is desperate to bring her father’s dream to reality after he passes away without fulfilling his ambition to become an actor. The duo happens to meet by chance. Shyam takes on the responsibility of assisting the girl to realize her dad’s dream. He puts the best efforts from his side and prepares her portfolio with the help of his friend (Sunil),besides making her get training in an acting school run by another friend (Siva Reddy). After successfully finishing the training, she makes a grand entry into the film started by SS Rajamouli (real life on reel life). At this juncture, Shyam is involved in a big accident and this paralyses his normal life. In the wake of this incident, how things change in the glamour world. This is the crux of the story. Rahul is just okay in his performance, and has a long way to go. He has done dance numbers with ease, but his acting has to improve a lot. Hemachandra dubbed the voice for the hero, but the lip movement doesn’t go well. Sonal Chauhan is pretty good for a debutant and Sunita’s voice suits. Sindhu Menon played a short but key role as a character that is dumb. She could deliver some of the best expressions on her part. In spite of having many comedians in the film, the comedy thread is weak. Prakash Raj appears in a small guest-like role in the film as a physician. The part done by Sivareddy and Sunil are adequate. SS Rajamouli, Kodi Ramakrishna, Seenu Vytla and Samudra appear in their real life roles and the episodes are interesting. Difference in the storyline is a saving grace to the film. The audience will find that there is ample justification to the title of the film. Music by Nihal is just average. Sunita’s contribution to the film as playback singer (for all the songs) is a major asset though picturisation could have been better. Cinematography is good with some of the alluring locations. Freshness in the script is a plus point but slow narration in the first half, abrupt change of scenes and predictable climax are minus points. Verdict: Average |
