It is a romantic fun film that explores love and friendship in cool manner. Director Karunakaran presents the movie entertainingly with cool visuals and peppy music. Despite wafer thin storyline, the narration is impressive. Karunkaran has packaged it in style. But second half peters out but on the while he succeeds in holding the audience’s interest. Highlights of the movie are good visuals, music (especially the songs) by G V Prakash Kumar and the romantic thread between the lead pair.

Dhanalakshmi (Sneha Ullal) has a childhood friend called Balaji, who consoles her when she is in distress. Especially, he gives a good solace when her father passed away and when she was facing troubles in the hands of her stepmother.

However, their friendship gets cut with Balaji forced to leave with his father following his transfer when she was in Tenth Class. The greedy stepmother wants her to marry Dhana to grab a property worth Rs 50 crores given by her father.

As Dhana dislikes the alliance, she walks away and takes shelter with her friend in Hyderabad. Now, our hero Aravind (Yasho Sagar) enters the scene. This irresponsible boy, son of a mechanic, loses his heart to Dhana and tries his best to befriend with her.

At one stage, her stepmother, on information that she was staying in Hyderabad tries to abduct her. But Aravind comes to Dhana’s rescue and prevents her from taking away. At this juncture, Dhana reveals her flashback to Aravind and sincerely tells him that she is in love with Balaji.

Unable to do anything, Aravind decides to go to Kolkata in search of an employment. Incidentally, Dhana also comes to know that Balaji is in Kolkata and boards the same train. Somehow, Dhana misses the train in a station and Aravind returns to her to accompany her to Kolkata.

Was Dhana able to locate Balaji? How far Aravind helps Dhana to trace her boyfriend-cum-lover? Does Aravind forget Dhana? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

Technically, full marks go to G V Prakash Kumar for his peppy numbers particularly the “Priayatama..” and “Chakori..” song are impressive. But background score is not that effective. Andrew’s visuals are mint cool. Digital Intermediative has further enhanced them. All the songs are melodious and are choreographed well. Yasho Sagar makes a decent debut as lead hero. He is good in the second half and also has done well in songs. But he should focus more on performance. Shivaji has lent his voice for him. He looks like Nitin in most scenes. Sneha Ullal in typical Karunakaran’s movies makes confident debut in Telugu. She is charming both in traditional and modern attire. Comedy by Sunil and Suman Shetty is good.

Verdict: Above Average
