| How can a quality conscious producer like Ramoji Rao and his ‘Usha Kiron Movies’, one of the most prestigious banner in India produce such a dumb and idiotic movie like Veedhi? There is no story and the plot is downright stupid and silly. A smart young news hungry television reporter Seeta (Gopika) working for CNN(!!) is on the look out for a deadly and elusive mafia leader who controls a particular street in Hyderabad! The elusive don Shivanna cannot be easily tracked down. So she gets the help of some local guys led by Surya (Sharwanand). Finally she tracks down the don of the Veedhi who turns out to be her father! Phew, where is the story? It will definitely leave the audience brain dead! The music of Anup makes you snore. Gopika who had raved about her role and film before release has nothing much to be proud of as she has hardly much to do. Sharwanand is a big let down and he can’t be blamed as the character is badly etched out. Veedhi is a dead end and most inept movie of the year award should go to its director Dorairaj. All in all a thoroughly disappointing venture from Usha Kiran a prominent flag bearer of earlier experimental brigade of film makers. Verdict: Torture
