| Sri Hari’s action film Okkade leaves you cold. These days it is difficult for Andhra audience to get hooked to cop and robber’s story. Every super hero worth his salt has done similar roles of a good but tough-as-nail cop taking on the baddies who are politicians. Okkade is a rehash of many cop movies and there is nothing new in content as it tells the story of a Superintendent of police Yugendran (Sri Hari) being transferred to Rayalseema are which is controlled by Subbarayudu (Mukesh Rishi) and his son Chinappa (Bharath). They are a law unto themselves and the story is how our brave and daring SP who is also an encounter specialist takes on them and cleans the system in his own style. The director Chandra Mahesh has liberally helped himself to half a dozen other cop stories for the screenplay and story. The redeeming factor is Sr Hari as he looks menacing, silent and deadly in every frame. Santhoshini as his serial loving wife has nothing much to do. Mukesh Rishi a specialist as far as doing Rayalseema faction leader’s role does his usual ham act. Bharath younger brother of Ravi Teja has to improve on his acting if he plans to take films seriously. There is an item number by Abhinayasri for front benchers. On the whole, Okkade leaves you disappointed. The film lacks a taut screenplay essential for cop film. Even Sri Hari’s puchline dialogues lack bite! Verdict: Avoidable
