| Nagarjuna’s Super is a music video style film that lacks nativity, story or feel of a Telugu film. Director has borrowed bits and shards of various Bollywood and Hollywood films including a climax which is a straight lift of the Michael Caine classic The “Italian Job”. Nag in his mid 40’s want to be a young biker seen in various road movies in Hollywood and the recent Dhoom. He has glam girls Ayesha Takia and Anushka for company. But the surprise packet is Sonu Sood who is rocking. The story is about two buddies Akhil (Nag) and Sonu (Sonu) who after a fall-out are now bitter enemies. Akhil runs a call taxi centre and falls in love with Srivalli (Ayesha) a doctor whose foster brother is Sonu. At the same time Sonu’s sister Sasha (Anushka) has a big crush on Akhil, who always treats her like a sister. In a flashback it is revealed that all the three were buddies who were robbers before they split (shades of Dhoom). Sasha has been threatening to commit suicide if Akhil does not respond to her love and one day she is killed. All this complicates the relationship between Akhil and Sonu. Nag as a cool dude exploits his image to the hilt but it is Sonu Sood who steals the show. The sexy girls Ayesha and Anushka show off their bodies. Technically the film is very good, Shyam.K.Naidu’s camera is visually stunning and K.Venkatesh’s editing is crisp. The action scenes are well choreographed by Alan Amin and music of Sandeep Chowta is foot tapping. Verdict: Average
