| Oops!! Jagapathi is another under boiled potboiler that leaves you cold. The whole film centres around Jagapathy Babu and his characterization which is a mixture of comedy and action, sleaze from Rakshita and a ham handed villain in Pradeep Rawat. The director J.Srinivas must have been seeing a camera for the first time in his life, as the entire film seems to have been ghost directed by Jagapathy Babu! It is a familiar storyline about a good hearted guy, Jagapathy (Jagapathy Babu) who is a hatchet man of a local MLA Pulichawla Nagaraj (Pradeep Rawat). Jagapathy is also a local sub-inspector who runs the police station like a bar! Jagapathy’s life changes after he meets a girl Lavanya (Rakshita) a widow whose husband (Sai Kiran) has been killed as per Nagaraj’s order. Lavanya changes Jagapathy’s life for the better and tries to reform him and the rest of the film is predictable as the tough goon changes into a dutiful citizen and does his duty. Along with the main track there is Suman Shetty, Navneet Kaur and M.S.Narayana’s comedy that leaves you cold. The basic problem with this film is its predictability and lack of a twist in the story. Jagapathy Babu is adequate in this inane story and if you love Rakshita’s oomph, she is sure to win you over. Keeravani’s tunes are forgettable and on the whole the film is avoidable. Verdict: Avoid |
