| Veteran director Bapu is back with Radhagopalam which fails to live up to the expectations. But the film is a clean family entertainer without any usual formula items like actions, glamour and double entendres, crass comedy and violence. The story is about a newly married couple Radha (Sneha) and Gopalam (Srikanth). Gopalam is an Assistant Public Prosecutor while Radha is the daughter of a judge (Ranganath). She applies for law degree after marriage and passes the exams with high honors and she is more talented than Gopalam at work. Radha takes up the case of a woman (Divya Vani) who has physically assaulted her husband (Venu Madhav). In the same case, Gopalam argues for the husband. Fearing that he might lose the case, Gopalam asks Radha to withdraw from the case as his ego will be hurt if she wins. Thus starts the conflict of interests and egos between the husband and wife and how they tackle the problems forms the rest of the story. Srikanth tries hard and is convincingly in his role. Sneha is first class with her homely looks and immense screen presence. Sunita’s dubbing is good and her costumes are worth mentioning. Divya Vani, who acted in Bapu’s earlier film Pelli Pustakam as heroine has put on a lot of weight. Venu Madhav is ok but his accent seems a bit strange. MS Narayana is brilliant in a cameo role. Music by Mani Sharma is good and S.P.Balasubramanyam has sung all the songs. However the film moves at a snail pace in the latter half especially the court scenes a bit lengthy. Verdict: Average
