| R.B.Chowdary has sincerely remade his Tamil hit Anandam, a family entertainer into Sankranthi with some minor nativity changes. Raghavendra (Venkatesh), Vishnu (Srikanth), Chinna (Shiva Balaji) and Vamsi (Sarvnanand) are brothers who live with their loving parents (Sarada and Chandramohan). The brothers are hardworking and lovable guys and the younger three respects and love their eldest brother Raghavendra who runs a super market. He gets married to a very nice girl (Sneha) after getting jilted earlier by Anjali (Aarthi Agarwal) a close relative. But soon the family bond is shattered after Vishnu gets married (Sangeeta) who doe snot likes the idea of a joint family and all the attention going to the eldest brother. The youngest brother Vamsi is a student and he falls in love with daughter of a rich man. How misunderstanding crop up and destroys the peace in the family and how everything is sorted out forms the rest of this family drama. Venkatesh looks very dignified and suits the role while Sneha is perfect match for him. The rest of the cast are adequate but on the whole the film will not appeal to a large section due to predictability in story and lack of commercial elements. Songs by S.A.Rajkkumar have an ancient feel and dialogues by Parchuri Brothers are too preachy and loaded with sentiments. If you like family tearjerkers go and watch it. Verdict: Clean Family Entertainer |
