| The sensitivity with which emotions have been portrayed, speaks volumes of the capabilities of director S.V.Krishna Reddy. In fact underplayed emotions are hallmarks of the main characters in Letha Mansulu that include Srikanth and Kalyani that lend a naturalness and sophistication to the enactment as a whole. However, the basic story has resemblance to the recent Naa Autograph and Vasantham. The film lacks commercial elements and moves at snail pace with slow narration and resembles a TV serial. It is a remake of Aghazi from Tamil. It is a story of calf love blossoming into deep romance and culminating in a strong bond that makes estrangement impossible. People fall in love at some point in time, but the relationship always does not lead to matrimony. And life goes on— as it does for Raju(Srikanth) and Dhana Lakshmi(Kalyani). Bhanu(Gopika) enters Raju’s life but he is unable to forget his childhood sweetheart. The ease with which Kalyani fits into the mould of a roadside labourer is amazing. Director S.V.Krishna Reddy has utilised the actress's potential well. It is a different kind of Srikanth that you see in this film, as an educated, calm and composed man of few words whose eyes clearly convey the heart's heaviness. Gopika is back again with her cherubic smile, a perfect choice for the role. Music of Keeravan is very average and dialogues by Ramana Chintapally are adequate. On the whole is film is slow with no surprises or commercial elements. Verdict: Slow and dreary |
