Despite the fact that rugby is not a popular sport in India, the director has managed to take the rough edge of the sport which is a refreshing change for the viewer. Pritvi (Nitin) and Shashank (Shashank) are two warring rivals in college.

While they battle it out between themselves to the outside world they represent a united front. Suddenly mafia don Bikshu Yadav (Pradeep Rawat) appears in college and declares that he has purchased the institution and its premises.

He orders the students to vacate the place and this enrages Pritvi and Shashank. They join hands to save the college from the clutches of the mafia. The rest of the story is predictable with a rugby match between the students and the mafia and the winner takes all-college and its premises.

The first half is pretty slow but the second half makes it up with interesting twists and turns. The last 20 minutes of the film is racy and that is the highlight of the film. Rajamouli has presented the film in a stylish manner and Nitin looks charming and carries the show but has to brush up his dialogue delivery.

Genelia is there for songs and glamour. Pradeep Rawat as the mafia don is impressive and sure to shine in future as a villain. Rajeev Kanakala as the coach and Tanikella Bharani as the principal steal the show. The comedy track of Venu Madhav is a plus point for the film.

Senthil Kumar’s camera has added the right tinge to presentation especially the quick and fast moving rugby match in the climax. M.M.Keeravani has lifted some popular English tunes but has beautifully blended with the proceedings.

Go ahead and enjoy and rugby game. Sye is a roller coater ride of pure unadulterated masala.
