| It is another launch vehicle for a star son that has turned to be a damp squib. Comedian Brahmanandam’s son Gautham has made a disastrous debut and he has no screen presence and emoting capabilities. It is also the directorial debut of choreographer Suchitra Chandrabose . The story is as old as the hills and stale as yesterday’s bread. Rani (Rati) is a village damsel who is all set to marry a software engineer settled abroad. The boy’s parents send her to a “Pallaki”, a sort of finishing school to polish her rustic upbringing. There she meets Goutham (Goutham) and falls in love with the guy that leads to complications. The rest of the story is how the lovers unite which is told in a predictable style. The story lacks any twists or a good climax. Gautham has to do something drastic if he is here to do more films. Rathi oozes glamour and is quite adequate for the role. Music by Keeravani is average and after a long time SPB is singing in a Telugu film. Pallakilo Pellikoothuru is disappointing from the word go. Verdict: Disappointing |
