| By Moviebuzz The first information report on Taaraka Ratna, the new heir to the NTR legacy is that the boy is no threat to Junior NTR. The audience are sure to reject him, even though the NTR clan is backing him. Okato Number Kurraadu is a typical ‘kichadi’ of a movie that has a perfect story for a newcomer. There is something new in this love story about a youth Balu(Taraaka Ratna) falling in love with a girl Sapna (Rekha), whose father (Tanikella Bharani) hates love marriages. He had even driven her sister to suicide because she fell in love and eloped! So the parental opposition part is what the story hangs on. Meanwhile Sapna thinks Balu is the chosen one as his friends replace her fiancées picture sent by Tanikella with his. Actually her father had chosen another boy in the same college who now becomes the villain. Now the wrath of the father falls on Balu. The rest of the film is predictable. Bad news is that the fourth inheritor to the NTR legacy Taaraka Ratna is a major disappointment. He just does not have any screen presence, is neither good at acting nor singing. His dialogue delivery is pathetic which has the audience hooting in the halls. Though only the screenplay is credited to Raghavendra Rao, his touch can be seen in the film through director Kodandarama Reddy. The music of Keeravani is also a let down. Verdict: Stale Stuff |
