| By Moviebuzz Idiot, well, that is the name of a film that is a sparkling entertainer for all ages. The story, screenplay and direction is by Poori Jaganathan. Ravi Teja as the hero is good and he has made the film witty and oh-so ticklish. Jaganathan is undoubtedly the new king of comedy films in Telugu now and he can be proud of making this comedy caper. Poori does not have much of a storyline. Chanti (Ravi Teja), the son of a head constable (Kota), is a mixture of hot-blooded young man and an idiot. He gets beaten up in college and is saved by a beautiful girl Suchitra (Rakshita). She hospitalises him and takes care of him. Slowly our hero falls in love with her who happens to be the daughter of the city police commissioner, Narayan (Prakash Raj)! It is a roller coaster ride of fun and spoof, which has to be seen in a cinema hall to be fully entertained. Poori’s screenplay is studded with sight gags and slapstick galore. Ravi Teja as the idiot is a cross between Chiranjeevi and Sunil. His one-liners and wise cracks are the highlights of the film. Prakash Raj is a perfect foil as the obsessive father of the heroine. Rakshita is passable as a newcomer and on the whole the film is a good comedy caper. Verdict: Comedy Caper |
