The mass masala director Dharani has been keeping an extremely low profile for the last few months after his Vijay starrer Kuruvi turned out to be pretty lukewarm at the box-office!
Now the grapevine has it that Dharani is being considered by none other than the hottest hero in south India Ram Charan Tej son of Chiranjeevi to direct his next film after he completes Orange with Bhaskar of Bommaralu fame. When we contacted Dharani he refused to comment.
Remember Dharani has an impeccable track record from his 1999 debut film Mammootty’s Edhirum Pudhirum (Hit), Vikram’s 2001 super hit Dhil, Vikram’s super hit 2003 Dhool, Vijay’s 2004 blockbuster Ghilli.
However his last two films were not as impressive as his 2006 Telugu film with Pawan Kalyan Bangaram was a colossal flop. Then he teamed up with Vijay again in 2008 for Kuruvi which was an average grosser. There is nobody like Dharani who can make a mass masala entertainer, with the right mix.
