Hats off to the South Indian Film Chamber of commerce who has persuaded the information ministry to give equal prominence to Southern language films along with Hindi at an Indian films festival in China.
Along with the Directorate of Film Festivals in consultation with the Embassy of India, Beijing, has finalised a list of films for the festival. 20 out of 50 odd films are from south.
According to Suresh, honorary secretary of the Chamber, the films proposed for screening from the Telugu are Varsham, Tagore, Lakshmi Narasimha, Amma Nanna 0 Tamil Ammayi, Arya and Nenunnanu.
