Bhoopathy Pandian’s Thiruvilayadal Arambam like a chocolate éclair just melts in your mouth. Dhanush has undoubtedly made a fantastic comeback. Shriya looks amazing and all the supporting cast is well-etched out and have done their best. The film is racy and in a one word –Enjoyable!

The director has been able to hold the audience attention throughout though the story is wafer-thin. He has kept the entertainment factor in mind and Dhanush has never looked so good. His hard work shows as he carries the film with ease and it is his best ever show in a fun ‘n’ frolic film since Thiruda Thirudi.

Thiru (Dhanush) is a carefree laid back guy who has a great time with his friends (Karunas, Sukumar and others). He is basically a nice guy who wants to do some business and come up in life. But his dad (Mouli) and mom (Saranya) does not have confidence in him.

One day after a small fight, his dad asks him to leave home and he sleeps in the temple. In the morning he sees Priya (Shriya) and it is love at first sight for him. She is the sister of a rich business tycoon Guru (Prakash Raj). Thiru takes a different route to make Priya love him, by directly going to telling Guru that he loves his sister!

Slowly, Priya falls in love with Thiru but soon a twist happens just before interval in which our hero makes a business deal with Guru for leaving his sister. What follows then is a series of unpredictable twists and turns that keeps you engrossed.

Clearly the dialogues of Bhoopathy Pandian and its racy presentation make the film entertaining. The confrontation scenes between Prakash Raj and Dhanush are the highlight and comedy is worked out well, without depending on comedians. There are quite a few funny moments that make you laugh and think at the same time.

D.Imman has surprised us once again with some melodious songs especially the Vizhigalil Vizhigalil… stays in your mind. The background score and camera of S.Vaithi gives the film a rich look.

Dhanush as the hyperactive Thiru is simply superb and his ability to deliver funny lines casually is commendable. Prakash Raj does his role to perfection, while Shriya looks good and her costumes are fabulous. Everyone in the cast including the little brother of Thiru are good.

Verdict: Paisa Vasool
