Everybody who is somebody in Chennai wants tickets for Rajnikanth’s Sivaji, preferably the opening weekend (June 15 to 17).
Fans of the superstar are thronging Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Kodambakkam, where his fan club president sits. And the aam aadmi (common man) is trying to revive his contact with the right connections to get tickets for the film!
The advance booking for Sivaji in 16 screens in Chennai city will open on Sunday (June 10), early morning. Already theatre owners screening Sivaji has switched off their mobiles, and most of them will be going underground fearing being hounded by harassed ticket seekers.
According to industry analysts there has never been such kind of pressure for any film, since advent of cinema in Chennai! As per the current trend, tickets are likely to be sold out in all theatres for the first two weeks without any difficulty.
After the initial craze, everything depends on the content of the film. Even if Sivaji were to carry only average reports, it will be a super hit!
