IANS  | Monday, 07 May , 2007, 10:13

New York-based filmmaker Tirlok Malik, who was the line producer of Rajnikanth's much talked about Tamil movie "Sivaji", says the actor has a larger than life persona.

During their schedule in New York, Malik and the team of "Sivaji" shot at various locations in the city. Directed by S. Shankar, who made "Nayak" and "Jeans", the film is said to be one of Indian cinema's most expensive.

Asked about the experience of working with superstar Rajnikanth, Malik said: "He has a larger than life persona not only on screen but also off screen."

Malik is an Emmy award nominated producer who loves making films on NRI themes. From his first film, the award winning "Lonely in America", to his most recent "Arya", he has always promoted Indian American talent.

Produced by AVM Productions, the credits of "Sivaji" also boast of National Award winning cinematographer K.V. Anand and internationally acclaimed music director A.R. Rahman.

The film is to hit the screens soon.
