Dhanush held a press conference today afternoon at the Good Luck preview theatre in Chennai to confirm his forthcoming marriage with Aishwarya Rajnikanth on November 18. He looked happy and content and was accompanied by his PRO Mounam Ravi.
Says Dhanush “First and foremost I would like to announce my marriage to Rajni sir’s daughter Aishwarya. It is not a love marriage but an arranged one with the consent of our parents”. (Also Read: Dhanush to marry Rajnikanth’s daughter!)
He also said that he met Aishwarya for the first time with his sister as they were close friends. Added Dhanush: “When rumours were spread about our affair, our parents met and decided to get us married.” (Also Read: K. Balachandar is the wedding planner! )
When asked if Aishwarya is elder to him, an angry Dhanush was quick to reply- “So what?” He also said that “Aishwarya is a nice girl and we vibe well. The marriage will be a simple affair which will be attended only by close family members. Fans and the press will be invited for the reception which would be held later”. He also added that there may be an engagement ceremony in the first week of November.
