 
Kalidas has won the National award for Best Child artiste for the film Ente Vedu Apoonteyum. Kalidas is the son of Jayaram and Parvathy. Sify.com caught up with Kalidas for a short chat
How does it feel to be the best child artiste in India?
I am very happy. I was upset that I my marks for science in the last exam was low but now I am proud that I won this award.
How are you going to celebrate this happy moment?
I have promised my friends in school to give them a party.
Was it difficult to do this role?
I was just natural in front of the camera. Sibi Uncle (director) and my Appa (Jayaram) told me what to do and I just did what they told me.
Will you be doing more films?
My parents have to decide. My school does not permit me to take leave. So we had shoot this film during vacation. In fact my appa had to turn down an offer from a Shahrukh Khan film as it was my exam time. I am a big fan of Shahrukh Khan and so I was very sad.
Do you want to be a great actor like your father?
Yes I want to be an actor when I grow up. My appa is my biggest role model.
