Dileep’s Joshy directed Lion, the first release of 2006 has taken a bumper opening all over Kerala in 48 screens. This political family entertainer has been declared a hit by the trade due to its unprecedented opening.
In Trivandrum, Sreekumar and Sree Visakh Lion has reported a 100 percent opening in the first three days. In Chalakudy a small station, the film opened big at two screens Akkara and Ayinikkal.
Lion, a fun-filled masala movie has all the ingredients in the right concoction and Dileep has been able to carry the show with comedy, punch lines, sentiments and action. And since there is no opposition Lion is expected to devour the box-office in the coming days as the audiences are starved of entertainers.
Dileep, producer Naushad and others who are distributing the film under a new banner ‘Shaan Entertainments’ is laughing all the way to the bank.
