Mammootty’s Balram Vs Taradas is turning out to be a big budget extravaganza with cost going up to Rs 3 Crore plus. This film slated for release on January 26 is now being shifted to March 16 as summer blockbuster of Mammootty.
Last week a boat chase was picturised at Muzhipiluyad beach in Tellicherry where the road and sea are very close. In 70’s and 80’s this beach was notorious as smugglers paradise as it was easy to unload gold smuggled on dhow (boats) from Gulf to the vehicles waiting on the road.
I.V Sasi the veteran director and his favourite script writer T.Damodaran have incorporated some of these stories into the film. It is the story of an underworld don and smuggler Taradas who is protected by the corrupt ministers and a fierce cop Balram who is after him.
Balram Vs Taradas is the most eagerly awaited film of 2006.
